I only use Firefox, so that's not the problem.

I personally use TweetDeck, with which you can set filters to follow (this can be any word). Check it out: http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/

Do you know of any apps that use a push model for hashtags (i.e. send you a notification when somone uses a hashtag you are "following?"

BTW, I think the problem that I had with posting was because I was using firefox. I've only been able to post using IE. (argh!)

#learnspanish or #learnespanol (or español) would be nice. But you're right, it's a bit long if you think we only have 140 characters. So maybe #learnesp?
